This game is really ahead of its time in the graphics dept. |
Yeah specially since every tree leaf has 3 dimensions now. That is one reason that game takes so much horse power to play. It is a jungle game and all the foliage is 3d. _________________ :ƒ: EDOX (Andy) (Resident Burmologist)

I've been playing a bit of the multiplayer "power struggle" game in Crysis lately. It's pretty damn fun but the trouble is so few people can run this game well the community is very small. So far I've just played on servers with 8 people or so. There's a few servers that are full usually but I need more prestige to join (get it by capping and stuff).
It would be awesome to play this with friends. Load up 8 guys in a chopper and deploy near a key point. _________________

Yes... BF2 sounds quite similar. In fact, I have it. One thing though, I get burnt out on the split second air attacks from vehicles I can't touch. RO balances this for me with anti armor weapons that can be accessed by everyone, even if you didn't pick that class. _________________ "You like spicy burm?" |

Pretty easy to avoid the vehicles in Crysis. Just cloak and go hide in some bushes. Then go to a bunker and buy a RPG. There's trucks and stuff all over hte map you can hop in too. It's a pretty solid game really, the trouble is that there is hardly anyone playing it heh. _________________

Yeah FarCry had a cool multiplayer as well but was hardly used for some reason. I really liked it but after a while there were no servers to play on. _________________ :ƒ: EDOX (Andy) (Resident Burmologist)

Graphics are really cool, but like you said, I think thats what holds it back from being popular. Take WoW for example part of the reason its really popular is that it can practically run on a 386. Too bad most developers don't build games with more scalable graphics. _________________ - Servo-J |

Yeah the CryTek team has always been trying to do leading edge games that have to run on the best machines available at that time. I think this is what has made them stand out and also be not very populated games. _________________ :ƒ: EDOX (Andy) (Resident Burmologist)

Speaking of leading age games, and games that have such advanced graphics that no one has computers to run them...... Intel aquired the "Offset Software".

Whatever game is made with that software will blow away Crysis. _________________ - Kalion The Great
